24 Thanksgiving Coloring Pages (Free Printable PDFs)
Twenty-four Thanksgiving designs built around the table rather than the history lesson: turkeys, harvest baskets, pie, corn, a family meal and a few pages for writing down what you are grateful for.
Most Thanksgiving printables online are still the pilgrim and buckle scene, which is not what American classrooms hand out any more. These twenty-four are built around the table instead: turkeys, a cornucopia (2), pie (3), corn (6), a laid table (4), bread rolls (19). Two are for writing rather than colouring, a pennant banner (7) and a jar of folded notes (15), both drawn with the blank space left in deliberately.
Ways to use these
- Put the writing pages out first. Design 7 and design 15 have empty areas by design. Children fill in one thing they are grateful for, colour round it, and the sheet becomes part of the table rather than something that ends up in the recycling.
- Placemats. Printed on card and coloured the day before, designs 4, 17 and 20 sit under a plate without curling. A dinner plate covers the middle, so the border patterns are what people actually see.
- The hand turkey still works. Design 14 is the traced hand shape every American adult remembers making. It is here because four year olds finish it, which matters more than originality.
Every design downloads as a US Letter PDF that also scales cleanly to A4 with “Fit to printable area”. Print in grayscale, there is no color in the files. Ordinary copier paper is fine for crayons and pencils; use cardstock or slip a spare sheet underneath for markers. Free to print at home, in a classroom or in a library, see the license.
Frequently asked questions
Are there pages without pilgrims?
Almost all of them. Only design 21 is a hat and buckle, and it is drawn as an object rather than a scene with people in it. The other twenty-three are food, harvest and turkeys.
Which pages suit a toddler?
Designs 6, 8, 11 and 20. Large shapes, few internal lines, nothing smaller than a crayon tip.
Can I use these for a classroom set?
Yes. Print as many copies as you need. Nothing on the sheets is dated, so an unused stack keeps for next November.
Is there anything for a Thanksgiving table craft?
Design 7 is a pennant banner meant to be cut apart and strung on ribbon, and design 15 is a jar with note shapes to fill in and cut out.
