Twenty Easter designs: patterned eggs, bunnies with baskets, chicks and spring flowers. The eggs in particular give you plenty of pattern to fill in.
The core of an Easter set is eggs, and an egg is the ideal coloring surface: a closed oval divided into bands, stripes, dots and zigzags with nothing else competing for attention. Around them, rabbits, chicks, a lamb, baskets and a duckling.
Ways to use these
- Pattern practice. The banded egg (1) is a pattern exercise wearing an egg costume. Stripes, then dots, then a repeat of their own invention.
- Cut out and hide. Color, cut out the eggs and hide the paper ones indoors. It works for the years when hiding chocolate is not practical.
- Place settings. The single egg designs printed onto card and colored become name cards for the table.

Are these religious?
No. The set is entirely secular: eggs, rabbits, chicks, a lamb, a duckling, baskets and flowers. There is no religious imagery anywhere in it.
How many of the twenty are eggs?
Eight: the banded egg (1), the basket of six (4), three in grass (5), the flower patterned one (7), eggs hidden in grass (10), one in an egg cup (13), the egg wreath (18) and the ribboned egg (19).
Are the patterns hard?
They range. The ribboned egg (19) and the one in the cup (13) are the simplest. The wreath (18) and the flower patterned egg (7) will take an adult a while and are the wrong choice for a four year old.
