20 Princess Coloring Pages (Free Printable PDFs)
Twenty princesses, crowns and castles. Original characters rather than film ones, with flowing gowns and plenty of pattern to fill in.
Every princess page a child asks for is a page some company owns. These are not those. They are original characters in the princess visual language, gowns and crowns and towers and horses, drawn so a child can decide who the character is instead of being told.
Ways to use these
- Let them name her. A princess nobody has met yet gets named, and the naming is often the part a five year old remembers.
- The gown is the whole page. The twirling design (9) with the skirt flaring out is the one with the most room in it, and the one children reach for first.
- Print for the dress up box. The crown (5), the wand (15) and the slipper (11) work as invitations and place cards for a dressing up party, printed onto card.
Every design downloads as a US Letter PDF that also scales cleanly to A4 with “Fit to printable area”. Print in grayscale, there is no color in the files. Ordinary copier paper is fine for crayons and pencils; use cardstock or slip a spare sheet underneath for markers. Free to print at home, in a classroom or in a library, see the license.
Frequently asked questions
Are these based on Disney princesses?
No, and deliberately not. Every design is original artwork. Those characters belong to their rights holders and we do not publish pages based on them.
Do the princesses look the same as each other?
No. Hair, build, gown shape and crown differ across the set, and skin tone is left entirely open for whoever is coloring to decide.
Is it all portraits?
No, seven of the twenty have no princess in them: a castle on a hill (3), a crown (5), a carriage (8), a slipper on a cushion (11), a wand (15), a throne (17) and a castle gate (20).
