20 Summer Coloring Pages (Free Printable PDFs)
Twenty summer scenes: beach days, ice cream, sandcastles and sunshine. Big open shapes that hold bright color well.
Summer pages get used in the two places children are most bored: the back of a car and the eleventh week of the holidays. This set leans into that, sandcastles and beach umbrellas and ice cream and a crab with its claws up, plus a few slower ones for a hot afternoon indoors.
Ways to use these
- Make a travel pack. Print eight, fold once, clip them together with a pack of pencils. Pencils over crayons, since crayons melt in a hot car.
- Wide open areas. The beach ball (8), the sun (4) and the watermelon slice (5) are almost all large flat regions. A child who wants to color fast has somewhere to do it.
- Holiday journal. Color one a day and date it. By September it is a record of the summer rather than a pile of loose paper.
Every design downloads as a US Letter PDF that also scales cleanly to A4 with “Fit to printable area”. Print in grayscale, there is no color in the files. Ordinary copier paper is fine for crayons and pencils; use cardstock or slip a spare sheet underneath for markers. Free to print at home, in a classroom or in a library, see the license.
