Twenty snowmen, classic three-ball builds, snow families, one melting in the sun. Large round shapes and a lot of white space, which suits the youngest children.
Snowmen are mostly white, which sounds like a problem for a colouring page and is actually the point: the interest sits in the accessories. These twenty vary the hat, scarf, arms and setting, and include a few that break the mould entirely, including one slumping in a puddle as it melts (5) and one wearing a paper crown (18).
Ways to use these
- Best set for the youngest children. Three large circles and a few accessories is about as forgiving as line art gets. If you are printing for a three or four year old, start here rather than with the detailed sets.
- Leave the body white. Colouring only the hat, scarf and buttons and leaving the snow blank looks better than filling everything, and takes a quarter of the time.
- The melting one is worth a conversation. Design 5 always gets a reaction. It is a gentle way into talking about why snow does not last.

Frequently asked questions
Is there much to actually color?
The accessories, mostly: scarves, hats, mittens, earmuffs, a broom, a lantern. The bodies are deliberately left as large open areas so the page does not become a chore.
Are these different from the winter set?
Yes. The winter collection has one snowman among sledges, mittens and cabins. This set is twenty snowmen and nothing else.
Which has the most detail?
Design 12, the one with a pipe and bowler hat, and design 15 with the snow dog. Both have more small shapes than the rest.
